Alfa Romeo 6C selling out before it’s launched

Alfa Romeo’s upcoming supercar, tipped to be called the 6C, has nearly sold out ahead of an expected reveal this summer. Deposits have already been taken, despite the car not officially being signed off by parent brand Stellantis until some time in April. “It will be sold out before I unveil the car,” said Alfa boss Jean-Philippe Imparato.

It is not yet known what form the car will take, but it will “contribute to the DNA” of the brand, said Imparato, hinting at a heritage-inspired design. The suggested 6C name indicates propulsion will come from Alfa’s acclaimed V6 – probably in its final, most potent guise. Imparato said the model will not just be a track car, but one that can also be driven every day. “It could be iconic, super-sexy and recognisable as an Alfa Romeo at first sight,” he added.
